I’m a financial coach, but I wasn’t always good with money.

In fact, my background isn’t in personal finance at all.

My degrees are in music education and vocal performance (I’m a classically trained opera singer!) A year before I graduated from college, I came to the shocking realization that I was in $78,511 of debt between my student loans, auto loan, and credit cards.

Determined to learn how to pay off debt and make the most of my money, I started researching as much as I could about personal finance.

The transformation that financial education had on my life was incredible.

With the information I gained, I was able to pay off over $28,000 of debt in two years (as a freelance musician) without eating beans and rice every day. I did this while still building an emergency fund, taking mini-vacations, treating myself, and enjoying the things I loved in life.

I quickly realized that I was not the only woman that grew up without a financial education. To combat this, I started blogging about my financial journey and the things I had learned about money… and Save Live Thrive was born!

As a financial feminist, I believe in the financial equality of women, and my mission is to help other women become financially literate and learn how to pay off debt, save money, organize their finances, and achieve their financial goals!
